The old town and the newer villages below it are different propositions. Up in the old town the streets are steep and narrow, access is the first thing to work out, and the houses are older with the uneven walls to match.
Beddau, Church Village and Llantwit Fardre are largely newer stock: square rooms, stud partitions and lower ceilings. Fixing into a stud wall rather than masonry changes how a media wall or a run of wardrobes is carried, and that gets checked at the measure-up rather than assumed.
It needs planning rather than assuming. The streets round the Bull Ring are steep and narrow and some of the houses have very tight staircases. Where a carcass or worktop will not go up in one piece we build in the room instead.
Yes, along with Llantwit Fardre, Tonyrefail and Talbot Green. Those are much more straightforward than the old town.
Yes. We fit kitchens you have bought or supply through the Howdens trade account. Gas, electrics and final plumbing are certified trades and get signed off by the people who hold those certificates.
It means the carcasses get levelled and the plinth scribed to the floor, so the doors line up even though the floor does not. It is normal in older property on the hill and it is part of the job.

Kitchens
Units, worktops, doors and end panels fitted to the room you have. Like for like swaps and full rip outs.
Structural
Load-bearing walls taken out and steel put in. The engineer calculates it, we install to that, and building control signs it off.
Living rooms
Television recessed, cables run out of sight, chimney breast boxed and finished ready for paint.
Panelling
Set out around the sockets, the radiator and the chimney breast before anything is cut. Rooms, hallways and staircases.
