Fitted wardrobe built around a stair bulkhead
A floor-to-ceiling shaker wardrobe built into an awkward corner, worked around the stair bulkhead running across the bottom of the wall.

SERVICE
Fitted wardrobes
The wall had a stair bulkhead crossing the bottom of it, which is exactly the sort of thing that stops an off-the-shelf wardrobe from fitting.
The carcass was built to the space instead: full-height doors above, and a lower boxed section following the line of the bulkhead with an access panel let into the front of it.
Scribed to the ceiling and to both walls, and painted to match the room so it reads as part of the house rather than furniture pushed up against it.
