Slatted fence panels on an existing wall
Horizontal slatted panels built and fixed along the top of an existing brick boundary wall.

SERVICE
Fencing and gates
The brick wall was sound and worth keeping, so the panels were built to sit on top of it rather than tearing out the whole boundary and starting again.
Horizontal slats with an even gap between them, on posts fixed back to the wall. It gives privacy without closing the garden in, and it lets wind through rather than acting as a sail.
Pressure treated timber, left to weather down.

Green oak porch, cut and pegged on site
A green oak gable porch framed and pegged on site, sat on carved padstones, with a reclaimed brick path laid up to the door.

Loft boarded out over full-depth insulation
A raised loft deck with the legs screwed down onto the joist tops, so the insulation underneath stays at full depth.
